Job Opportunity:

  • As a swimming instructor, you will teach children of all ages and abilities the essential skills needed to become proficient swimmers.
  • You will be responsible for developing engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles, promoting a love for swimming in each child.
  • Excellent communication skills are vital in this role, as you will need to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized teaching area is also crucial, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
  • To enhance your teaching skills and stay updated on industry best practices, participation in ongoing professional development is expected.

Requirements:

  • A valid AUSTSWIM Certificate - Teaching of Swimming and Water Safety.
  • A current First Aid (Level 2) & CPR Certificate.
  • A Working With Children Check (or equivalent) & National Police Check.
  • An energetic, innovative, and decisive approach to teaching.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, and demonstrate empathy towards the needs of classes.
