Career Opportunity in Civil Construction Trades

The Shire of York is seeking a motivated individual to join their team as a full-time Civil Construction Apprentice. This apprenticeship offers an exciting opportunity to learn and gain hands-on experience in the civil construction sector.

As a Civil Construction Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting experienced tradespeople with various tasks, including maintenance of roads, drains, and footpaths. You will also have the opportunity to operate machinery and develop your skills in manual labor.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A construction White Card or willingness to obtain one
  • A valid Driver Licence and Transport or working towards achieving this
  • A can-do attitude towards learning and completion of your apprenticeship
  • Great listening and reliability skills
  • The ability to pass and complete pre-onboarding requirements, including a drug and alcohol test

This apprenticeship provides a comprehensive training program, including on-the-job training and regular progress reviews. Upon completion, you will receive a nationally recognised qualification and have gained valuable work experience.
