Civil Construction Apprenticeship Opportunity

Embark on a rewarding journey in civil construction with our apprenticeship program. As a full-time Formwork Carpentry Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience and develop specialized skills under the guidance of qualified tradespeople.

  • Assist in the installation of formwork structures, assembling and positioning formwork panels, beams, and other components.
  • Participate in concrete pouring activities, coordinating with other tradespeople to ensure proper concrete consolidation and finishing.
  • Remove formwork from hardened concrete structures, carefully dismantling and removing components.
  • Prepare formwork materials by cutting, shaping, and sizing plywood, lumber, or metal components.
  • Learn and implement formwork maintenance practices, including inspecting, cleaning, and repairing damaged components.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), and contributing to a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with experienced formwork carpenters, tradespeople, and construction professionals to learn and contribute to the success of construction projects.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

  • An interest and commitment to work in construction.
  • A White Card or the ability to obtain one ASAP.
  • A current driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Certificate I or II in Construction is advantageous.
  • Work experience within the construction industry is highly desirable.
  • Physical fitness, self-discipline, and high attention to detail.
  • Reliability, resilience, motivation, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to take direction and prioritize team safety.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow professionally.
