SLR Consulting is an international environmental consultancy seeking a Senior Ecologist to join their North Queensland team. As a key member of the Ecology team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality ecological services to clients and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct field surveys and collect ecological data to inform project decisions.
- Develop and implement flora and fauna field surveys and monitoring programs.
- Prepare technical reports detailing the outcomes of field survey programs and implications for environmental impact assessment and management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to integrate ecological work into project assessments.
- Manage projects, including budget tracking, invoicing, and client communication.
- Appropriate tertiary qualification in Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 5-6+ years' experience in an ecological role in the environmental consulting sector or an equivalent role in Government.
- Excellent flora and fauna identification skills.
- Mature report writing and computer skills, with demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality written material for publication.
- Proven ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
