Aboriginal Identified Teacher

The position of Aboriginal Identified Teacher is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of Indigenous Australians. As an Aboriginal Identified Teacher, you will play a crucial role in promoting education and skills development among your community.

Job Description:

  • Plan and deliver courses that meet the requirements of accredited programs and training packages.
  • Conduct classes and sessions with offenders to meet their educational needs under the principles of adult learning.
  • Evaluate processes, including validation and modifying assessments, as well as administrative duties such as recording offender attendance, progress, and achievements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proof of Aboriginality.
  • A qualification in Education, as outlined in the Crown Employees (Education Employees Department of Justice – Corrective Services NSW) Award, and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
  • Current Driver Licence and preparedness to drive as part of the role.
