Data Center Operations Expert
Job DescriptionData center technical operations is a critical function ensuring the physical infrastructure operates at high standards for safety, security, and availability. A result-driven individual with strong technical understanding and vision is required to take data center engineering operations to the next level.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in a 24/7 rotating shift pattern undertaking routine maintenance and emergency service of critical systems such as switch-gear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, fire systems, etc.
- Installation of new rack capacity, provisioning of power and cooling, on-site management of contractors and vendors, establishing performance benchmarks, conducting analyses, and preparing reports and documentation of all aspects of critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
- Collaboration with data center IT managers and other business leaders to coordinate day-to-day operations, projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability, and efficiency.
- A result-driven individual with strong technical understanding and vision.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge in data center infrastructure operations.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 rotating shift pattern.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in data center IT management or related field.
