Job Title:

Environmental Sustainability Coordinator

A key role within the Council's infrastructure and environment department, responsible for managing and coordinating waste management operations to ensure optimum efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in waste management, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and a commitment to leading sustainable initiatives.

This role involves leading a team of professionals and working closely with other departments to achieve Council's Operational Plan performance indicators and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate waste management operations to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce waste and increase recycling
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote sustainability practices
  • Lead a team of professionals and work closely with other departments
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and achievement of Council's Operational Plan performance indicators

Requirements:
