About the Role
This is a 36-week internship opportunity located at Stanwell Power Station for a student studying Electrical Engineering. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Electrical Engineering student in their 2nd or 3rd year of study. This will allow you to put your university studies into practice, while under the guidance of qualified and experienced engineers and subject matter experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing hands-on assistance with electrical design and project work, including change management processes
- Contributing to plant or process investigations, including root cause failure investigations and review of operational plant data
- Promoting a safe work environment by conducting on-the-job risk assessments
- Assisting engineers during major outages, allowing you to observe and learn parts of the plant that are normally running
- Updating documentation and procedures
Requirements
- Completed 2nd year of Electrical Engineering study
- A passion for ongoing learning and development
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A high level of initiative to promote our values in everything we do
- Interested in potential future opportunities within Stanwell
