Lead Litigation Specialist

We are seeking an accomplished legal expert to spearhead our litigation team as Director of Litigation. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful work and drive impactful regulatory outcomes.

  • Provide authoritative legal guidance on statutory responsibilities, service deliverables, and regulatory functions.
  • Lead and manage the Commission's litigation team effectively, driving efficiency and excellence.
  • Prepare, instruct, and appear in applications, prosecutions, injunctions, and enforcement actions before disciplinary bodies, courts, and agencies.
  • Advise, mentor, support, and provide leadership to staff while fostering a positive team culture.
  • Review, develop, and drive legislative and policy changes to enhance regulatory functions.
  • Monitor and improve policies, procedures, work practices, and management systems for optimal standards of service.
  • Advise, mentor, and support the team with high standards of professional ethical conduct.
  • Be responsible for statutory delegations and maintain high standards of professionalism.
  • Travel within Queensland for Court or Tribunal hearings, requiring a current driver's license.
