Job Summary

We're seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team in the Western Suburbs. As a Disability Support Worker, you'll work with people with physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, neurological conditions, intellectual disabilities, or autism, providing support with daily living activities, personal care, and domestic duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support with daily living activities, including transfers, use of equipment, and hoisting
  • Assist with personal care, such as showering and dressing
  • Support with domestic duties, such as cleaning and laundry
  • Work with a care team approach, incorporating the guidance of professionals, including supporting clients to undertake physio programs and community access
  • Use good judgment, common sense, listening skills, and a willingness to learn and commit to our values
  • Work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, short shifts, sleepovers, and active night shifts
Requirements
  • Experience supporting people with physical disabilities, including transfers and use of equipment
  • Experience in personal care, including showering and dressing
  • Good judgment, common sense, listening skills, and a willingness to learn and commit to our values
  • Full driver's license and willingness to provide transport in your own vehicle (costs reimbursed)
