We are seeking a skilled and experienced Team Lead to join our Planning team. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to business goals by providing leadership and mentoring the planning team.

The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work on a range of land development, infrastructure, and strategic planning projects across New South Wales.

The day-to-day tasks would involve leading a team of Urban Planners, ensuring correct staffing levels and resourcing of projects, maintaining high engagement with team members, and working with partner Team leads across other disciplines to achieve project outcomes.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in urban planning research, data analysis, and report writing, as well as comprehensive knowledge of NSW urban planning and environmental legislation.

The position involves acting as a project manager, developing project plans and strategies for the completion of major projects, managing or assisting with the preparation of strategies, reports, environmental impact assessments, and other planning documentation and submissions on behalf of clients.

The successful candidate will undertake technical and quality reviews of documentation prepared by the planning team, foster client relationships and identify business opportunities, grow, develop, and mentor junior staff, and lead and assist with the preparation of tender documentation.

Required qualifications include tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or Architecture / Urban Design or an equivalent combination of education and related experience, demonstrated leadership experience in a consultancy environment or similar, proficiency in urban planning research, data analysis, and report writing, extensive experience in statutory or strategic planning, preferably within NSW, self-motivation, and self-directedness.
