Park Maintenance Officer

">Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Park Maintenance Officer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management of Whiteman Park, ensuring public safety and community engagement.

This includes grounds maintenance within parks and reserves, including wildfire suppression and firefighting activities.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct grounds maintenance and upkeep of park facilities.
  • Support operational activities to maintain the park as a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming space.
  • Engage with visitors and stakeholders to promote the vision of Whiteman Park.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services.
">Requirements:
  1. Experience in grounds maintenance and wildfire suppression.
  2. Ability to promote and support the vision of Whiteman Park through effective communication and engagement.
  3. Understanding of public sector governance requirements and relevant legislation.
  4. Behaviours aligned with Personal Leadership.
">Special Requirements:
  • Baseline hearing test every two years.
  • Valid Western Australian Working with Children Check.
  • Provide First Aid Certificate and recognised bush firefighter's certificate.
  • Current C class driver's licence.
  • Availability to work outside normal hours, including shifts in various weather conditions.
