Job Title: Radiocommunications Technician

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining telecommunications infrastructure state-wide. Your primary objective is to ensure the smooth operation of our networks by performing routine maintenance tasks.

The role requires strong technical knowledge and excellent problem-solving skills. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, test, and commission WCDMA/LTE/4G/5G/NBN technologies.
  • Install radio base stations, terminate Hybriflex Cables and Coaxial feeder cables/tails, earthing, cable trays, diplexers, and combiners.
  • Upgrade or install DC power rack systems including rectifiers, batteries, and load testing.
  • Configure and capture status for Hand Over Packs (HOP's).
  • Commission and integrate RBS into the network.
  • Conduct PIM, VSWR, sweep, and fibre testing.
  • Troubleshoot, replace defective equipment, and monitor site performance.
  • Install and commission microwave indoor and outdoor units.
  • Software installation, testing, and commissioning of sites.
Desirable Skills:
  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Telecommunications or Engineering science, electronics, or microprocessors.
  • Have equivalent experience as a telecommunications technician if no qualification is held.
  • Have experience in installation, commissioning, and testing of Nokia and/or Ericsson equipment.
  • Hold current Working at Heights / Tower Rescue Ticket; First Aid and CPR.
  • Hold Construction White Card.
  • Hold Full Manual Drivers Licence.
  • Hold Radhaz RF EME Awareness.
  • Able to work away from home if required.
