About Cybersecurity Officer Role

Cybersecurity officers play a crucial role in safeguarding an organization's digital assets and data. They are responsible for implementing robust security measures to prevent cyber threats, attacks, and breaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement ACSC Essential 8 practices, including patch management, multi-factor authentication, and restricting administrative privileges.
  • Contribute to the development of cybersecurity capabilities within the organization.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary or vocational education qualification in Cyber Security, ICT, Information Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Specialized knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as ACSC's Essential 8, ISM, ISO 27001, and NIST CSF 2.
  • Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • Current driver's license.
