Defence Contracts Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Defence Contracts Specialist to join our team based in Perth, WA. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of Defence projects and ensuring effective contract management.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Defence contracts and be able to provide commercial advice to project teams. You will also be responsible for performing commercial analysis, managing contractual risks, and developing and implementing best practice procurement and contracts management frameworks.

This is a permanent full-time position offering a great opportunity to work with a leading organisation. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in contracts/procurement, preferably in the Defence sector.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support commercial project delivery across the Defence portfolio
  • Provide commercial advice to project teams
  • Perform commercial analysis and modelling during tender process
  • Manage contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Develop and implement best practice procurement and contracts management frameworks

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law or related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in contracts/procurement, preferably in the Defence sector
  • Formal training in Commercial/Contract Management desirable
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with stakeholders
