About Us:

Cocoon SDA Care is a dynamic organisation seeking Disability Support Workers who are committed to training and growth. We require experienced staff to assist in supporting participants with complex care, personal care, and high physical needs. Our ideal candidate will have a great attitude and professionalism, working in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) or SDA environment to provide participants with personal growth and independence.

Our Disability Support Workers engage with participants to shape and improve their lives. They create opportunities, champion connections, and inspire partnerships of support that encourage every individual to realise their full potential.

The Role:

  • Immediate start
  • Must be available for sleep over shifts
  • Must have current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Supported Independent Living In Community
  • Experience in managing participants with behaviours of concern, mental health, and Biopolar
  • Experience with Trauma and Intellectual Disadvantage
  • Manual Handling experience required
  • Clear speech and communication skills, with strong verbal and written English skills
  • Providing personal support to empower participants to reach their goals and maintain independence
  • Passionate about providing support and making a difference
  • Regular shifts
