An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Traffic Management Specialist to lead the delivery of improvements in temporary traffic management.
About the Role:This is a key position within our team, responsible for overseeing the Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) program and ensuring all projects meet annual objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies to improve TTM performance across multiple projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with operations teams, subject matter experts, external partners, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and shared success.
- Manage consultants and contractors engaged in TTM improvement initiatives, ensuring their contributions align with program goals and quality standards.
- Monitor incident notifications through data analysis, identifying trends and informing proactive safety measures.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of TTM performance, translating findings into actionable insights that guide strategic decisions.
- Provide expert input into crash investigations, policy development, procedures, training materials, and contractual arrangements related to TTM.
- Lead the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and innovative approaches within TTM.
- Collaborate with internal units and industry partners to propose and implement initiatives aimed at building capability and improving overall TTM performance.
What You Bring:
- Proven experience in managing complex projects or programs within an office-based environment, particularly those involving multiple stakeholders.
- Highly developed skills in stakeholder engagement, enabling you to build consensus among diverse groups while managing expectations effectively.
- Ability to communicate clearly, succinctly, and persuasively across different audiences using both written and verbal channels.
- Experience negotiating complex documents such as contracts, service level agreements, or memorandums of understanding with attention to detail.
- Resilience when navigating ambiguity or change, maintaining focus on delivering positive outcomes even in challenging circumstances.
- A track record of fostering shared objectives within teams while promoting an inclusive workplace culture that values collaboration.
- Ability to conduct detailed reviews of operational performance data and translate findings into practical recommendations for improvement.
- Solid understanding of temporary traffic management guidelines and specifications relevant to Queensland's regulatory environment.
