Strategic Negotiations Specialist

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and support whole-of-government industrial relations strategies.

The Strategic Negotiations Specialist plays a critical role in providing high-quality timely and strategic advice on bargaining and industrial relations issues that directly influence government priorities and organizational outcomes.

Complex industrial matters will be analyzed risks and opportunities identified and practical solutions developed to deliver positive results across the public sector.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on industrial relations frameworks including legislation government policies and industrial instruments.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the public sector.
  • Identify and analyze complex industrial matters risks and opportunities and develop practical solutions to mitigate risks and achieve outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of industrial relations frameworks including legislation government policies and industrial instruments.
  • Ability to provide high-quality timely advice on complex bargaining and industrial issues that align with government priorities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear concise and informative reports briefs and correspondence.
