We are seeking an experienced natural resources professional to lead our land restoration initiatives.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to plan and coordinate project activities, including vegetation identification, ecological assessments, land restoration and conservation management, scheduling project materials, organizing and supervising contractors and liaising with relevant local stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Native Vegetation Restoration Design: Plan and supervise the design of native vegetation restoration projects.
  • Field Work: Travel to existing sites and potential sites both locally and occasionally interstate for property assessments and revegetation management.
  • Species Identification: Identify flora and fauna species in the field.
  • Invasive Species Control: Plan and supervise mixed methods of invasive species control.
  • Herbicide Application: Plan and supervise the application of selective herbicide.
  • Property Maintenance: Plan and supervise property maintenance, track repair and bushfire mitigation works.
  • Record Keeping: Monitor, record and verify project progress, and maintain accurate records.
