Key Responsibilities- Thought Leadership: Provide strategic guidance on enterprise applications and cloud architecture principles, ensuring alignment with our business vision.
- Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, business representatives, and technical resources to understand and translate business needs into technology solutions.
- System Interdependencies: Identify and collaborate with project teams to ensure effective and efficient project delivery.
- Technology Strategy: Develop and maintain plans for investing in systems architecture, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
- Data Landscape: Develop and maintain the design of the data landscape, data management components, data platform, and analytical components, adopting security best practices.
- Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain organization-wide architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and code repositories.
- Commercialization Opportunities: Support the Head of Data & Applications in identifying ongoing revenue and commercialization opportunities for the company.
- Business Problem-Solving: Understand business problems and desired outcomes to design data architecture that is efficient and scalable, able to present these solutions to business stakeholders.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest innovations in the sector, including digital twins, artificial intelligence, and other digital technologies that can be applied at Urbis and Cistri.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior members of the Technology and Digital team, contribute to technical leadership, and support a team culture that promotes knowledge sharing, innovation, and excellence.
- Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Science.
- Experience: At least 5 years' experience in data management with proficiency in Microsoft Azure Cloud computing platform (specifically Synapse); Expert Azure certifications (Azure Solutions Architect and/or Azure DevOps Engineer) desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SQL, Python, and strong technical skills in Enterprise Architecture design and management.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of data governance and taxonomy, with a passion for the application of data to urban design and planning.
- Process Improvement: Experience with process improvement methodologies in data management.
