Vacation Experience Program

Gain hands-on experience in mining and technical disciplines through our 12-week vacation student program. Our structured program provides a unique opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a real-world setting.
Your Role- Participate in a 12-week program with an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster from Perth.
- Undergo site and team inductions to understand the operations of our mine.
- Shadow experienced professionals across various disciplines to gain valuable insights.
- Perform hands-on technical tasks related to your field under close supervision.
- Receive personal mentoring and career guidance to help you achieve your goals.
- Attend workshops on environmental responsibility, professional development, and innovation to broaden your knowledge.
- Deliver a final presentation summarizing your learning and highlighting your key takeaways.
- We are looking for motivated, curious students enrolled in a relevant bachelor's or master's degree.
- Australian permanent residents or holders of valid working rights in Australia are preferred.
- Students studying disciplines including Geology, Mining Engineering, Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Surveying, Health & Safety, Occupational Hygiene, Geotechnical Engineering, or Environmental Science are eligible to apply.
- You will enjoy a fly-in fly-out (FIFO) arrangement from Perth.
- Access onsite amenities including a gym, pool, movie room, driving range, and modern dining facilities.
- Upon completion of the program, you will receive a Certificate of Completion.
- Work alongside industry professionals to develop technical and professional skills.
- Personal mentoring and career guidance will be provided throughout the program.
- Attend workshops covering environmental responsibility, professional development, and innovation to enhance your knowledge and skills.
- Opportunities exist to be considered for future Graduate Programs at Greatland.
