About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Psychologist to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team in the Southern Country region. As a Senior Psychologist, you will play a key role in providing expert clinical knowledge and interventions in child and adolescent mental health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-based clinical modalities to support children and adolescents with mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal client outcomes and provide consultation and education to other agencies and the community.
  • Work with consumers to develop individual care and treatment plans using a recovery framework.
  • Promote access and equity of services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and adolescents.
  • Act as a consultant and resource person to CAMHS and other agencies to provide information and education on child and adolescent mental health.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Extensive clinical experience in delivering mental health psychology services to children and adolescents.
  • Advanced clinical experience in delivering a range of evidence-based clinical modalities relevant to child and adolescent mental health.
  • Advanced knowledge in at least one area of clinical practice relevant to child and adolescent mental health.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with consumers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy, with limited supervision and direction.
