Wastewater Operations Leader

The role of Wastewater Operations Leader is a key position within our team. It involves leading by example and taking an active role in the operation and maintenance of wastewater assets to deliver the highest level of OHS outcomes, service delivery efficiencies, asset reliability, and customer service.

You will be based at a depot and support field teams to foster a positive customer experience and outcome-driven culture, enhancing their skills and capabilities through mentoring and development.

  • Provide supportive and strong people leadership, supervision, technical guidance, and training
  • Direct activity required for the efficient and effective provision of planned and reactive maintenance, as well as project work
  • Lead and participate in all site OH&S activities and initiatives
  • Have a high level of field presence, including performing regular field audits
  • Manage people, including e-timesheet approvals, performance reviews, development, and performance management
  • Participate in the overall contract operational service delivery to ensure that business plan objectives and corporate strategies are met

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Extensive experience in operations and maintenance environments, with water/recycled water/sewer reticulation assets advantageous
  • A demonstrated track record in a high-performance team environment, including developing a "can do" culture within the team to provide effective and efficient service delivery
  • First-rate organisational and time management skills and stakeholder/customer engagement
  • Experience planning and executing projects within budget and in line with customer requirements
  • Demonstrate knowledge and commitment to Quality Management principles, OH&S, and the Environment
  • Facilitate strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • A current driver's licence

Operational hours for these positions are based on 37.5 hours per week which may include a rotational shift roster of morning, day, and afternoon shift cycles.
