About the Role

Barnardos Australia is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Leader, Finance & Corporate Division. This is a part-time permanent role based in Sydney.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide executive-level support to the Executive Leader, working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, providing a professional point of contact for all enquiries.
  • Manage complex diaries, scheduling meetings, negotiating appointments, and booking travel and accommodation.
  • Coordinate executive meetings, administration support, and preparation of documents and resources for the Executive Leader.
  • Assist with various projects across the portfolio, including project tracking, communication plan oversight, and following up on agreed actions.
  • Evaluate information and situations to identify level of urgency, risk, confidentiality, and sensitivity, ensuring the most appropriate action is taken.
  • Undertake research and prepare draft reports, presentations, and submissions for the Executive Leader.
  • Assist the Executive Leader with oversight and reporting on project and service improvement initiatives.
  • Travel as required.
Requirements
  • Diploma-level qualification in Business/Administration or relevant discipline (desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in providing high-level administrative assistance and support to a senior management role.
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships across the organisation at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, employ initiative to find solutions, prioritise, and exercise discretion.
  • Advanced proficiency in preparing various documentation using Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Strong attention to detail with advanced administration support skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • NSW drivers' licence.

Salary and Benefits

Base salary: $85,131-$91,259 pro rata plus leave loading plus superannuation. Salary range based on experience. Packaging available to receive $15,860 of your salary tax-free. Motor vehicle packaging available on selected roles.

To be considered for roles with Barnardos Australia, you will need to have (or be willing to have conducted) a National Police Clearance and current Working with Children check Clearance (or APP number) and for the ACT a Drivers History Check, Working with Vulnerable People Card, and CYPS Check.
