Job Title:

Dental Care Assistant

  • A qualified professional is sought to provide dental care services in a dynamic team environment.
About the Role:

This role involves working as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality dental services and improve population health.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will be required to perform the following tasks:

  1. Deliver effective, efficient, coordinated, and client-focused services.
  2. Evaluate patient flow by ensuring efficient patient scheduling and time management.
  3. Collaborate with dental team members to provide the best possible care for patients.
  4. Provide chair-side support to a multi-disciplinary clinical team.
  5. Ensure provision of advanced-level clinical care that meets Grampians Health standards and policies.
Skill & Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Formally recognized tertiary qualifications in dental assisting (e.g., Certificate III in Dental Assisting).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of dental assisting and infection control.
  • A current Victorian drivers license and reliable transport.
  • A sound understanding of patient-centered care.
  • High levels of interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Sound time management and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work flexibly in various clinical environments.
