Aged Care Team Leader Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced individual to join our team as an Aged Care Team Leader.

  • Supervise the smooth operations of the facility, ensuring high-quality care for residents.
  • Allocate work to team members based on resident choices, promoting a cohesive and harmonious work environment.

This is a permanent part-time position with flexible hours, allowing you to balance your personal and professional life. You will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents and their families.

About the Role

As an Aged Care Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the manager in managing queries and feedback from residents and their families, co-workers, and other service providers.
  • Monitoring equipment to ensure it's in safe working order and arranging maintenance and repairs when needed.
  • Responding to incidents, allegations of abuse, and service disruptions, providing conflict resolution, de-briefing, and follow-up, in consultation with the Service Manager.
  • Assisting residents with daily living activities and personal care, prioritizing their dignity and independence.
  • Working towards continuous improvement of our service, aligning with Aged Care Accreditation Standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • APHRA registration or a Certificate IV in Aged Care and/or Diploma in Aged Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Prior supervisory experience in aged or community care, or similar industry experience.
  • Adaptability, resourcefulness, and the ability to live our values of compassion, respect, imagination, and boldness.
  • Experience in using client/data management systems.
