Freight Forwarding Specialist

As a skilled freight forwarder, you will be responsible for assisting with tender submissions and communicating with clients to identify their needs.
Liaising with management, branches, and overseas networks is also a key aspect of this role. This involves exploring business opportunities, researching and identifying key customers from local, domestic, and international markets, and conducting joint calls with team members to improve awareness of value adds and secure additional business.
The successful candidate will develop and maintain customer databases and pipelines for new business, liaise with the branch and global network to ensure a consistent business approach, and maintain high levels of activity and customer focus while achieving set targets.
In addition, they will pro-actively contribute to improving business offerings, enter customer and call activity into CRM tools, and have at least 5 years of experience in freight forwarding with general cargo, OOG Cargo, or similar experience.
They will also have an understanding of contractual terms, conditions, and specifications for large-scale clients, a high level of concentration, ability to meet competing timelines, and organized.
A motivated and well-trained team player, the successful candidate will be able to think critically and solve problems effectively, work independently, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
