Job Description

Kiama Council seeks a skilled Arboriculture Specialist to administer the Tree Preservation Order and undertake various tasks.

  • Administer Council's Tree Preservation Order (TPO)
  • Prepare quotation documents, assess contractors, and project manage arboriculture works on public land
  • Provide expert advice on correct arboriculture practice and tree management
  • Liaise with Arborists and consultants on tree management issues

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in carrying out inspections and preparing reports, as well as knowledge of Australian Standards relating to arboriculture.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A Certificate III in Horticulture (Arboriculture)
  • Expert knowledge in arboriculture, including experience in carrying out inspections and preparing reports
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards relating to arboriculture, particularly AS4373
  • Excellent customer relations skills, including internal and external stakeholders
