Are you a skilled craftsman with a passion for machinery and toolmaking? Do you have a strong background in trade qualifications and experience working with complex equipment?

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Toolmaker to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the testing, repair, and maintenance of a range of machinery.

  • Fitting and assembling parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, fixtures, and tools using machine tools and hand tools.
  • Examining faulty machinery and equipment for defects.
  • Removing and replacing damaged parts.
  • Undertaking regular emergency repairs of metal parts of machinery & equipment.
  • Maintaining sufficient levels of inventory to support all tool maintenance.
  • Routine maintenance program for all tools in the business.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Optimising tooling processes for improved manufacturing productivity.
  • Collaborating on innovative tooling methods across teams.
  • Providing technical support to ensure smooth production.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Trade Qualified Toolmaker or similar trade.
  • Dedicated to safety and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Welding & fabrication experience (desirable).
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications.
  • Extensive knowledge of press tooling, processes, and technologies.
  • Extensive knowledge in the design of press and forming tooling.
  • Sound knowledge of engineering and production processes.
  • The ability to work as part of a small team to meet objectives.
