About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Home Care Worker. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to our clients, enabling them to live independently in their chosen community.
In this rewarding role, you will:
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including showering, dressing, and continence care;
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as cleaning, shopping, and meal preparation;
- Transport clients to appointments and provide personal shopping assistance;
- Support clients with medication management and develop a consumer-driven care plan;
- Build relationships with clients and their families, providing emotional support and companionship.
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of seniors. As a Home Care Worker, you will need to be a caring and empathetic person, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also require:
- A Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent;
- Completion of the unit of competency HLTHPS006 - Assist clients with medication, or ability to acquire;
- Current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificates;
- A current driver's license and a willingness to use your own comprehensively insured vehicle for work purposes;
- Physical capacity to carry out the duties required, including house and manual work;
- A National Police Certificate or the ability to acquire.
