Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced team leader to join our garden maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horticulture, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and lead a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance and training to junior team members to enhance their skills and safety practices.
  • Undertake hands-on work including mowing, pruning, hedge trimming, weeding, mulching, planting, and general garden care.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within set timeframes.
  • Operate and maintain tools, machinery, and vehicles safely.
  • Report progress, issues, and requirements to management.
  • Pest and disease identification and treatment.
  • Maintain high horticultural standards and attention to detail.
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens, or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritise work and develop junior team members.
  • Sound practical experience with a variety of tools and equipment such as mowers, hedgers, whipper snippers, blowers, hand tools, and petrol-operated equipment.
  • Current driver's licence is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
