Speech Therapist Role

We are seeking a Speech Therapist to provide holistic therapy services to clients with various presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement speech therapy plans for children with literacy, speech, and language disorders.
  • Assess and prescribe Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices to support client communication needs.
  • Work collaboratively with occupational therapists, psychologists, and behaviour support practitioners to deliver comprehensive therapy sessions.
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Participate in quarterly professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress, and treatment plans.

Requirements:

  • Registration as a Speech Therapist with the relevant professional body or eligibility to obtain.
  • Degree in Speech Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Current driver's licence and vehicle for travel to client sessions.
  • Police check and Working with Children check (or ability to obtain these before commencing work).
