We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support a major expansion project across fixed plant operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to join our organization and make a meaningful contribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, ball mills, CIL tanks, and large pumps to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime, reducing costs and improving productivity.
- Scope, plan, and support shutdowns and major maintenance activities to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor equipment performance and drive process or equipment improvements to enhance overall efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or relevant trade background, with a strong foundation in mathematics and science.
- 4-8 years experience in mineral processing mining operations, with a proven track record of delivering results.
- Experience with fixed plant equipment: conveyors, ball mills, CIL tanks, large pumps, and familiarity with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and reliability improvement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Shaft and Hoisting experience, with a focus on safety and risk management.
- Maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Familiarity with maintenance systems (SAP/CMMS) and shutdown management, with experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team coordination skills, with a focus on developing and motivating high-performing teams.
