System Integration Test Engagement and Quality Assurance Manager

Join Hudson Australia in this exciting opportunity to lead the System Integration Test Engagement and Quality Assurance team in a federal government environment.

About the Role

This is a pivotal position that requires strong leadership and technical skills to manage the development of the technical testing strategy, strategic test plans, and test approach and processes to maintain, enhance systems, applications, and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the single point of engagement into the SI Testing Function for all queries, requests, and advice, when required.
  • Independently quality assure projects and initiatives from a testing perspective, when required.
  • Manage a team to deliver and optimize the solution testing and test assurance services.
  • Plan, manage, coordinate, and deliver the end-to-end systems development testing through various phases with vendors.
  • Ensure the delivery and compliance of solutions are ready for the operational environment following SIAM processes.
  • Develop a coordinated and integrated testing plan and approach with and across vendors.
  • Uplift the maturity and effectiveness of the System Integration testing function and associated capabilities, practices, tools, and processes.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years test engagement and independent Quality Assurance experience.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience managing a technical testing team.
  • Strong technical skills/understanding with experience in delivery of large mission-critical systems, various cloud environments, and large databases and applications like Oracle.
  • Experience in standard development, delivery, and operational processes like SDLC, COBIT, Prince2, ISO9001, ITSM, SIAM, or similar.
  • Working with and implementing project delivery and testing tools in a DevOps/DevSecOps framework.
Desirable Criteria
  • Degree in IT, Engineering, or related field.
  • Certification or minimum 1 year hands-on experience in maturity models such as TMMi or CMMi.
