Job Title: Maintenance Leadership

The successful candidate will lead a skilled team of mechanical maintenance technicians and oversee the coordination of contractor and service provider activities. This role involves developing and implementing short- to medium-term maintenance schedules, ensuring efficient task execution, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic maintenance plans in conjunction with operational objectives.
  • Coordinate resources, materials, and tooling to support optimal task execution.
  • Monitor progress and respond to unplanned downtime to minimize delays.
  • Oversee external contractors and service providers to ensure adherence to site safety and quality standards.
  • Manage permitting, performance, and communication for contractors.
  • Provide technical guidance and supervision to the mechanical maintenance team.
  • Lead by example in safety, quality, and professional standards.
About the Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical maintenance planning and contractor management. They must thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and be passionate about continuous improvement and building high-performing teams.

  • A trade qualification in mechanical or maintenance engineering is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in maintenance planning and scheduling is essential.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and resource allocation.
  • Leadership experience with a focus on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in CMMS tools such as MEX.
  • Experience with contractor permitting and external service management.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
