The Role:
As an Electrical Maintenance Officer with Ooh, you will be based out of our Steven Hills depot and work in a team to provide proactive and reactive electrical maintenance on our Street Furniture assets across Melbourne metro areas. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure our assets are in optimal condition and fully illuminated, involving electrical audits and maintenance of ad boxes, courtesy lighting, trip switches, totem poles, solar shelter panels, batteries, and other related equipment.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough electrical safety inspections and RCD checks in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform electrical fault maintenance and repairs to all assets within the designated area.
- Log and report all maintenance assessments via mobile app to the Team Leader, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Participate in new and existing building activities, providing support for project delivery and contributing to the overall success of our operations.
- Respond promptly to road traffic incidents affecting our assets, securing the site and ensuring public safety until repairs can be completed.
- Maintain a strong commitment to Work Health Safety (WHS) policies and practices, promoting a safe working culture within the team.
- Utilize company-provided vehicle, uniform, and equipment to perform duties efficiently.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must possess a current, non-restricted A Class Electrical License that meets Government regulations, as well as be available to work occasional on-call and after-hours shifts as per the team's rational roster. A full, valid Australian Driver's Licence is also mandatory.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
- Hold a current, non-restricted A Class Electrical License.

- Possess a full, valid Australian Driver's Licence.
- Thriving in a team environment while working autonomously, utilizing initiative with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and tech-savviness skills.
- Strong compliance with WHS policies and practices.
Compensation and Benefits:
This role offers an estimated salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits including company vehicle, uniform, and equipment, all designed to support your success in this challenging yet rewarding position.
