Business Systems Analyst

Great Southern Bank is in search of a Business Systems Analyst for a 6-month max-term contract. In this role, you will ensure that our information technology systems are effectively aligned with business operations by assessing requirements, collaborating with stakeholders, and developing innovative solutions. Your responsibilities will include providing expert technical insights on essential platforms and system integration, as well as working closely with our business stakeholders to gather business requirements and convert them into functional and non-functional specifications through various methods such as interviews, workshops, and technical documentation.
This position offers the flexibility to work from home two days a week.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, articulate, communicate, and validate requirements for agreed modifications to our business processes, policies, and technology solutions.

• Engage throughout all phases of the requirements lifecycle, applying established methodologies and techniques while maintaining a focus on delivering results and realizing value.

• Utilize technology and innovative thinking to enhance and address a variety of business and technical challenges.

• Deconstruct issues and formulate effective requirements and solutions; facilitate workshops, and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and external partners at all levels.

• Conduct benefit and option analysis to support the feasibility of strategic initiatives.

• Plan, prepare, and lead workshops with stakeholders and partners, collaborating across all levels to elicit business and solution requirements.

About You:


• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a business analyst within medium to large complex organizations (experience in the finance sector is preferred).

• Familiarity with BABOK.

• Proven experience applying Agile principles.

• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle in Agile environments.

• Extensive experience managing multiple project types, including the implementation of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions and delivery of technology solutions, including digital technologies.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills with a strong focus on customer service.

• Experience collaborating with product owners to develop prioritized backlogs based on value.

• Previous involvement in technical projects focused on analysis to deliver front-end customer-facing features and experiences.
