About the Role
As a Town Planner, you will be responsible for administering Council's statutory planning responsibilities and contributing to positive development outcomes across the City of Wagga Wagga.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessing a broad range of development applications, including major and controversial developments
- Providing policy advice to internal and external clients in line with Council's statutory planning functions
- Assisting in the development, review, and implementation of Council's development control policies and procedures
- Providing input to the review and development of Council's strategic policy documents
- Researching, analysing, and reporting on changes to NSW planning legislation, policy, and guidelines
- Contributing to the mentoring and development of junior planning staff
What We Offer
- A commencing salary of $3,245.96 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $3,895.14 gross per fortnight + superannuation (11.5%)

Requirements
To be successful as a Town Planner, you will possess tertiary qualifications in Town Planning, Urban and Rural Planning, or a related discipline, hold a Class C Driver's Licence, and a WHS General Construction Induction Certificate (White Card). You will also require extensive demonstrated experience relevant to the position.
