About the Role

Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Permit Program Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Data Center Global Services team, you will be responsible for coordinating the planning, execution, and evaluation of all critical government approvals required for land development related to data centers and essential supportive infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify all entitlements and permits required to construct AWS data center facilities.
  • Lead entitlements approval process for priority projects across APJC.
  • Coordinate internal and external project development teams to develop and execute a permitting plan, ensuring all partner teams are performing required actions at the appropriate time.
  • Own key relationships with AHJs and other key external stakeholders to act as a single point of contact for all strategic AHJ approval discussions and escalations.
  • Identify, assess, mitigate, and communicate risks to the permitting strategy to internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Engage and manage the work of entitlement and permitting consultants and specialists.
  • Track real-time permit delivery metrics and complete after-action reviews to identify and solution opportunities for process improvement.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 6+ years of real estate development experience, entitlement, and/or site development permitting experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree or equivalent
  • Background in Urban Planning
  • Background in Land Use Law
  • Background in Real Estate Development, or Government Affairs
