Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Permit Program Manager to join our Data Center Global Services team in Sydney, AU. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the planning, execution, and evaluation of critical government approvals required for land development related to data centers and essential supportive infrastructure.

About the Role

The Senior Permit Program Manager will lead all entitlement processes for assigned projects, working closely with partner teams to develop a permitting strategy, ensure its effective execution, and identify and mitigate risks associated with AHJ approval processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying all entitlements and permits required to construct AWS data center facilities.
  • Leading entitlements approval process for priority projects across APJC.
  • Coordinating internal and external project development teams to develop and execute a permitting plan.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in real estate development, entitlements, and AHJ/government engagement, with a proven track record of delivering multiple high-priority projects under tight timelines. Strong project management and cross-functional coordination skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and manage external relationships.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of real estate development experience, entitlement, and/or site development permitting experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications.
Preferred Qualifications

We also welcome candidates with:

  • Master's degree or equivalent.
  • Background in Urban Planning.
  • Background in Land Use Law.
  • Background in Real Estate Development, or Government Affairs.

Salary and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $120,000-$180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
