About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Child Welfare Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will play a crucial role in supporting children and young people in foster care, including facilitating transitions, coordinating caregiver matches, and ensuring best-practice care.

You will work closely with foster carers, families, and a network of professionals to ensure that each child receives the specialized care they need to overcome their past experiences and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate transitions for children and young people moving into or out of care
  • Coordinate caregiver matches to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people
  • Ensure best-practice care by working collaboratively with foster carers, families, and other professionals
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in case management
  • Demonstrated experience in working with children, young people, and families (an advantage)
  • A relevant qualification (Bachelor or Diploma) or currently studying towards a qualification
  • A proven track record of working effectively in a team and excellent client communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience in therapeutic work or willingness to develop skills
