Deliver Technical Excellence as a Water Resource Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver complex water resource projects, including water management plans, environmental impact assessments, rehabilitation plans, flood and floodplain management studies, and hydraulic design projects.
  • Advance project management skills by developing relationships with clients across various industries, including energy, resources, government, infrastructure, and land development.
  • Develop technical skills in water balance, flood modeling, and civil design by working alongside industry experts and specialist water resource engineers.
  • Progress career and continue professional development through mentoring from experienced leaders and team members, along with support for training and industry events.
  • Contribute to business strategy by participating in innovation, mentoring, and wellbeing initiatives within an agile and inclusive business environment.

Work Arrangements:

The role can be full or part-time, based in Darwin, with flexible working arrangements available.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Hold a degree in environmental or civil engineering.
  • Be a registered professional engineer, such as NER or RPEQ.
  • Have a minimum of 6 years' experience in water resources.
  • Demonstrate strong capability in one or more fields of water balance, catchment, flooding, and/or stormwater modeling using software like GoldSim, TUFLOW, URBS, XP-RAFTS, or MUSIC.
  • Be confident in the use of spatial/terrain software packages, such as QGIS, 12D, or Civil 3D.
  • Have experience with Python/coding applications.
  • Possess excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Be keen to collaborate and share knowledge in a culture of technical excellence.
