About the Role
The User Interface Software Engineer will be a key member of our team, responsible for specifying, designing, and developing innovative software that shapes our unique product design solutions and meets our customers' expectations and requirements.
The role primarily involves:
- Developing radio and PC application user interface requirements.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining software and firmware.
- Providing product support and testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in requirements analysis and systems architecture.
- Designing, implementing, testing, and supporting software and firmware according to specifications.
- Developing and supporting CI/CD processes and test automation.
- Providing accurate reporting information at all stages of the software development life cycle.
- Providing maintenance and support for existing products to customer service.
About You
This exciting opportunity is suited for an experienced UI Software Engineer looking to develop their technical skills within our team based in Mawson Lakes. To be successful in your application, you will have demonstrated experience in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, software development on embedded devices and/or PC applications, and a passion for delivering creative problem-solving engineering solutions.
You will be degree-qualified in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Additionally, you will have:
- A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in C, with C++ being a mandatory requirement for this position.
- Python and XML experience is highly desirable.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in UI design.
- Experience with modern software development methodologies, including version control (Git), unit testing, and CI/CD.
- Practical knowledge of TCP/IP/UDP and networking principles.
- Experience with web development/REST API is a plus.
