
Eco-Friendly Sustainability Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Professional to join our team in the role of Environmental Advisor. This exciting opportunity will see you play a vital role in managing environmental compliance, promoting sustainable practices and ensuring regulatory adherence within the Defence Fuels Network Maintenance Contract environment.
This is a challenging and rewarding position that offers opportunities for professional growth and development. As an Environmental Advisor, you will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental management systems, conducting environmental base line assessments and risk evaluations, advising on best practices for pollution prevention, waste management and environmental conservation, and collaborating with Defence and UGL teams to establish and maintain environmental policies and procedures.
In this role, you will also be responsible for providing training and guidance to staff to enhance environmental awareness and promote a culture of environmental stewardship. You will work closely with Defence and regulatory agencies to address concerns and maintain positive community relations. Additionally, you will participate in emergency response planning and preparedness to mitigate environmental incidents and ensure prompt remediation.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong background in environmental science, engineering or a related field, with 3-5 years of experience in environmental management, ideally within the fuel or energy industry. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement environmental management systems

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in environmental management, ideally within the fuel or energy industry
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, environmental impact assessments and sustainability practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Australian citizenship
