Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Dietitian to join our healthcare team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide advanced clinical nutrition and dietetic services to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nutrition and dietetic services to patients and/or carers at an advanced level, both individually and in group settings.
  • Coordinate the provision of special dietary requirements for patients and/or carers.
  • Consult and support medical, nursing, catering, and allied health professionals within the division and external agencies as necessary.
  • Utilize expert nutritional knowledge to advise the hospital's catering service on menu development and compliance with relevant nutritional standards.
  • Document patient medical nutrition therapy according to approved protocols.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary activities such as team meetings, ward rounds, or case conferences as required.
  • Contribute to education programs within the dietetics service and other caregiver groups.
  • Develop and review dietary education resources.

To be successful in this role, applicants must hold a tertiary qualification in Dietetics and be eligible for full membership with Dietitians Australia (DA) and evidence of Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status. Experience working in a specialized area of healthcare or disability is highly regarded.
