Role Summary

This Senior Nutrition Specialist position involves working in a dynamic environment to provide advanced clinical nutrition and dietetic services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver expert nutrition advice and guidance to patients, clients, and carers on an individual or group basis for both inpatients and outpatients.
  • Coordinate the provision of special dietary requirements for patients.
  • Offer consultation and support to medical, nursing, catering, and allied health professionals within the organization and external agencies as required.
  • Apply nutritional expertise to inform menu development and ensure compliance with relevant standards in the hospital's catering service.
  • Accurately document patients' medical nutrition therapy in line with approved protocols.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary activities such as team meetings, ward rounds, and case conferences as needed.
  • Develop and review educational resources for dietary needs.
Requirements:
  • Completion of tertiary studies in Dietetics.
  • Eligibility for full membership with a professional dietetics association.
  • Proof of Accredited Practising Dietitian status.
