Job Opportunity: Mobile Speed Camera Operator

We are seeking a skilled and trained individual to work in regional and remote areas of NSW, operating mobile speed cameras.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform risk assessments and take photos of each site prior to each session.
  • Communicate with a control room to align and test cameras.
  • Respond to challenging behavior from the public.
  • Work a rotating roster that includes weekdays, nights and weekends.

Requirements:

  • A full driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to be seated for extended periods in a vehicle.
  • Available to work alone and drive long distances or to multiple locations.

Our organization collaborates closely with Transport for NSW to reduce road fatalities. Road safety cameras have proven to be an effective way to encourage drivers to slow down, ultimately saving lives. Revenue generated from fines is directed towards the Community Road Safety Fund, which supports priority road safety programs, with most funds reinvested in infrastructure safety upgrades on roads in NSW.
