Northern Beaches Hospital is a contemporary 488-bed facility located in Frenchs Forest, only 13kms north of Sydney CBD. The hospital provides a wide range of health services to the local community, including Surgery, Emergency Department, Intensive Care, Birthing, Paediatrics, Cardiac, Mental Health, Dialysis, Cancer Centre, and Outpatients.
About the RoleThe Day of Surgery Admissions (DOSA) provides care to patients being admitted for a theatre procedure, whether they are being admitted for a day procedure or for a longer stay. As an Enrolled Nurse in our DOSA, you will have a strong patient-service focus, demonstrated commitment to continued service improvement, and demonstrate problem-solving skills to improve patient care outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures
- Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA registration
- Diploma of Nursing or equivalent
- Proven clinical experience in day surgery
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
