Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Creative Arts Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic support to diverse clients through creative arts therapy.

About the Role

The role involves delivering individual and group art therapy interventions, developing personalized treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. You will work under the supervision of a qualified Art Psychotherapist and receive support to complete ongoing training in Art Therapy as part of your role.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based responsive individual and group art therapy interventions.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans using various artistic mediums.
  • Conduct art therapy sessions focused on developmental delay, trauma, and disabilities.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated therapeutic care.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and supervision in line with ANZACATA and/or PACFA requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Creative Arts Therapy or equivalent recognized by ANZACATA and/or CCET membership of PACFA.
  • Registration as a professional ANZACATA member or CCET member of PACFA.
  • Experience working with children and families, including those affected by trauma or developmental delay.
  • Understanding of a wide range of visual arts practices.
  • Familiarity with NDIS guidelines and experience working with NDIS clients is desirable.

Essential Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Creative Arts Therapy.
  • Registration membership number with ANZACATA or PACFA.
  • Satisfactory DHS Working with Children Check and National Criminal History Check.
  • Ability to work evenings or extra shifts as required.
