We are seeking a skilled Dental Technician to join our team.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in producing dental prosthetics, including crowns, bridges, dentures, orthodontic appliances, and other customised devices. They will be expected to utilise the latest dental technology and techniques to ensure precise, accurate, and aesthetically pleasing results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Producing a wide range of dental prosthetics, including crowns, bridges, dentures, orthodontic appliances, and other customised devices.
  • Utilising the latest dental technology and techniques to ensure precise, accurate, and aesthetically pleasing results.
  • Collaborating closely with dentists to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet the needs of patients.
  • Maintaining meticulous records and adhering to strict quality control measures.
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to junior technicians to support their professional development.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Undertaking all aspects of prosthetic work, including making bites, castings and mouth guards.
  • Constructing partial or full dentures (metal and non-metal) to replace the partial or total loss of teeth.
  • Constructing accurate models of the mouth and teeth from impressions of the patient's mouth taken by the dentist.
  • Using various dental techniques for restorative work, including diagnostic wax-ups, Smile Design cases, dental composite work and IPS e.max Press restorations.
  • Restoring natural teeth by fabricating crowns, veneers and bridges or creating dental implants.
  • Correcting dental irregularities by manufacturing fixed or removable appliances, such as dentures, braces and retainers.
  • Replacing missing facial and body tissues due to injury, disease or developmental abnormality by fabricating maxillofacial prostheses.
  • Using traditional methods and increasingly CAD/CAM for designing dental devices.
  • Maintaining dental laboratory records and preparing reports on laboratory activities.
  • Updating your dental laboratory knowledge and skills by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and joining professional organisations.
